What We Do
At The Rockhill Cooking Academy we cook, learn about ingredients, learn the history of meals and dishes and study and prepare foods. We study the botanical legacies of plants and incorporate all of that new knowledge into a fabulous menu. We spend most of the time preparing foods we've learned about, and some of the time eating and having a blast!
All recipes have been tested and are healthy and delicious. Each class focuses on a unique theme that has been developed especially for kids and young adults. By learning to choose seasonal all organic fruits and vegetables along with a good foundation of simple recipes, anyone can be a chef!
• Fall-Winter Classes: TBA
We have received so many e-mails and letters asking about our classes and calendars- we are working on the Fall/Winter schedule and will post it very soon! Summer private instruction is available during the weeks of July 7-11 and July 28-August 1, and August 4-8. Individual classes are 3 hours, from 10-1. Week long sessions may be arranged, which would include a field trip.
• June '08- Classes in Europe: Lake Como, Italy and Gstaad, Switzerland - booked- make sure you have your passports updated and follow packing guidelines for travel in materials sent! We are going to have a blast!
