About Us

 

The Rockhill Cooking Academy was born out of a love to cook and a desire to teach kids some basic skills in the kitchen.  The proper use of appliances, kitchen utensils, safety and cleanliness are all integrated into preparation, cooking, baking and presentation.  All recipes have been tested and are healthy and delicious. Each class focuses on a unique theme that has been developed especially for kids and young adults.  By learning to choose seasonal all organic fruits and vegetables along with a good foundation of simple recipes, anyone can be a chef!

We hope to instill within each student the lost art of preparing meals for others.  In today's world, things are all about how quickly we can get things done, instead of how well we can get the significant matters accomplished.  Planning meals, choosing fresh healthy ingredients, preparing and serving them expresses love to others with care.  Nutritious foods feed our bodies and souls.  Take the time to enjoy these important moments with your friends and family.
